Peace Building - Reducing Youths Radicalisation

The role of peacebuilding is critical to nation-building or post-conflict reconstruction in post-conflict zones. The pervasive portrayal of youths as perpetrators and victims of conflict is a narrative that MDDT seeks to transform in its peacebuilding strategy.

MDDT advocates for non-violence and peaceful coexistence by involving youths in civic engagement and economic empowerment programs nationally and across borders. Nationally MDDT seeks to align and expose youths to the available youth development programs provided by the state and facilitates the orientation of youths in fellowships and leadership programs.

It is in this light that MDDT has mobilized youths across Cameroon and Central Africa to join the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA), which is a youth-led continental network that seeks to drive African development through cross-cultural exchanges.

MDDT provides the following services;

Training on online programs offered by the Peace Operations Training Institute.
Advocacy for youth involvement and political participation.
Entrepreneurship and leadership trainings
Negotiation/ mediation.
