Secretary General
Christian Lambang Fonye is the Secretary General of MDDT-Cameroon. He is an activist/member with Amnesty international Australia and an adviser to the migrant and refugee program. He also works as a Settlement Officer with the migrant and refugee Settlement services (MARSS) Australia.
Christian has served as a Protection officer in the National Human Rights Commission in Cameroon and a Program Coordinator for Peace, Conflict and International Relations in the Pan African Institute for development West Africa. He is a 2017 Mandela Washington fellow and an Ambassador of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
He has worked extensively with civil society organizations in Cameroon and equally served as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the European Union Civil Society Strengthening Program in the south-west region of Cameroon.
He is committed to promoting rights based approach to development and is fully engaged in promoting the rights of migrants and refugees as well as the fight against racial discrimination in Australia and the world over. He is a 2020 United Nations fellow of the program for people of African Descent by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
