Hon. Andrew Benkila Babila is the Founder and Chairperson of the Movement for Democracy, Development, and Transparency (MDDT) Cameroon. He has over 20 years of experience in Civil Society and Politics.
He was Regional Chairperson North West Region of Cameroon, of Cameroon’s most popular opposition party, the Social Democratic Front (SDF) in the 1990s. He further served as Chief Commander of the SDF Military Wing called “The Vanguards”.
In the year 1997, he was elected Parliamentarian and questor of the Cameroon National Assembly. Hon. Babila has a rich academic and professional background in human resource management, diplomacy, and political sciences.
His international experience cuts across diplomatic and leadership exchange experiences such as the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) of the United States Department.
He is a visionary in engaging Africa’s youths in the protection of human rights, peace-building, and participating in politics.
